The Cuckoo Club now trades as 99 Regent Street. 99 Regent Street (formerly Cuckoo Club) opened in October 2026 behind the same Swallow Street entrance, with the Cuckoo founders reunited on the same floors under a new concept, and the two-floor format the Cuckoo Club was known for carries on: two floors of around 200 each, open-format hip-hop and RnB upstairs and house downstairs. What Changed
The Cuckoo Club name is no longer used. The venue trades as 99 Regent Street, also styled NinetyNine or simply 99, and the address is in the name: 99 Regent Street, London W1B 4EZ. The entrance is still on Swallow Street, where Time Out's listing placed the Cuckoo Club, two minutes from Piccadilly Circus; Oxford Circus and Green Park are walkable.
The founders are the same, but the concept is new, so anything you read elsewhere about the Cuckoo Club's prices or nights describes the old club, not 99. The club opens Wednesday to Saturday, 11pm to 4am.
Two Floors, One Night
The layout is what sets 99 apart. Upstairs is the main room, where most of the tables sit: open-format hip-hop and RnB, dark panelling, warm low lighting, banquette seating and a long bar. Downstairs is darker and more dance-focused, built around house. A staircase connects the two, so on a Friday or Saturday a group that cannot agree on music can split the night between floors without leaving the building.

The Door, Tables and Guestlist
99 Regent Street is 19+ with physical photo ID, a year older than most London doors, so bring the card or passport itself. The dress code is elegant and enforced: no sportswear, running trainers, shorts, caps or fancy dress. Clean minimal trainers are at the door's discretion, and black is the safe choice.
Tables start from £600 minimum spend as of October 2026. The minimum is spent on drinks rather than charged on top, it covers entry for the whole group, and it rises with the night, the size of the group and the table's position; VIP and larger tables are arranged on request. The guestlist is by request and takes mixed groups, so it is not a ladies-only list, and entry runs from free to about £50 depending on the night and arrival time. Halloween 2026 falls on Saturday 31 October and New Year's Eve on Thursday 31 December; both are regular opening nights, and tables for those dates are worth booking early.

History: From the Stork Club to the Cuckoo Club
The rooms at 99 Regent Street have been a nightlife address since 1954, the era of Al Burnett's Stork Club, whose guests ran from Harold Macmillan to Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor. The Cuckoo Club followed and held the floor for the best part of two decades, known for splitting one night across two floors so that groups who could not agree on music could move between them without leaving the building. The crowd was a polished Mayfair mix, the door was selective without being severe, and the club had a reputation for consistency over hype.
